Renew Sinai is the largest redevelopment project in Mount Sinai Hospital’s history. By employing research-based designs to improve patient experience and outcomes, this multi-year project is transforming and revitalizing many of Sinai Health’s most important facilities.
The use of calming colours and scenic backdrops throughout the unit — including hallways and feature walls — improves the patient and visitor experience and helps with wayfinding.
Surgical patients can register at the bright and spacious Patient Registration area, now conveniently located at the entrance to the Peri-Operative Services floor.
Our new state-of-the-art operating rooms facilitate new services not possible before. Enhancements include integrated audio-visual systems, a Guided Therapeutics Suite featuring in-room 3D CT imaging for complex surgeries, and a Robotics Suite enabling minimally invasive surgical procedures.
Conveniently located beside the Patient Registration area, our sun-filled Family Lounge provides a comfortable and quiet waiting space for family, friends and caregivers accompanying surgical patients.
Our new Robotics Suite and daVinci Xi surgical robot will enable minimally invasive robotics-assisted procedures for patients living with complex conditions, improving patient length of stay and recovery time.
Our expanded Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) features 48 modern bays, including enclosed isolation bays for improved infection control. New equipment and technology enable safer drug administration, real-time patient tracking and enhanced patient care and comfort.
